I'm trying to figure out if gnope is the correct tool/platform for me (in a pragmatic sense). I would like to develop a simple set of GUIs that use text boxes for inputs and perform some GIS calculations through PostgreSQL/PostGIS back-end system.

Also I would like to know if there is a way to develop code in a non-object oriented fashion (my skills are very bad in this php department). The question is that I want to focus more on spatial algorithmic aspects and SQL implementations more than spending time to learn gnope/ oo-php details.
