how to install php-gtk2 to work with xampp

am running xampp, which is the installation combining php5.1.1, apache2 and mysql, i need to install php-gtk2 so that i can develop desktop applications, but i still want to use the php thats on xampp because of its pear library etc, and also use mysql on xampp. so how do i get this to work?
