I can confirm that it does work under linux.
Albeit slowly on my old box, but it does work.

It works for me here. Just no zoom-out or zoom-reset. |

| Try to maximize and restore the window several times - the picture moves down a bit every time. And it doesn't use the full width and height of the window. |

at this moment i try to resize the color's from 256 colors to 8bit or higher.
