Hello all,
I removed some 50+ accouts that had strange websites set and were just there for spam. If I accidentially removed your valid account, please accept my apologies.
And I also like to announce that in two weeks, I will remove all the accounts that have not been used to post and contain a website. If you think that your account with a website should be left over, although you haven't posted yet, please post in this thread to get one. |

hi christian,
i intentionally left the links in postings untouched. in most of my other forums i automatically add a rel="nofollow", but i actually like the external links of good PHP sources to gain some momentum from here (the php.net link counts a lot).
for the memberlist, i could just remove the link, if you agree, but it has automatically rel="nofollow" added.
even if we miss a "cialis poker blah" spam link, i think google will obey the nofollow

| Today, I removed some obvious spam accounts and all accounts that had a website set, but hadn't posted yet. You had been warned. |

hi christian, we need an image verification input for registration, that should really lower that type of spam!
i will look, if phpbb has that as a module!

since phpBB 2.0.11 (?) the so called CAPTCHA is integrated in phpBB, so this image-verification should work in current versions of phpBB

hello cweiske,
just a little hint for phpBB-Users: On registration-page switch the variable 'agreed=true' to something else like 'dgetzjz=true' - since I´m doing this in the PEAR-Forum.de, I´ve never had Spam-Accounts in the memberlist!
Greetings,
Marco |

| We had no spam registrations since I modified the registration form a bit. |
