Is it posible to get a pear package to update the php.ini file?

looked at your tut could not find a refrance.

i am going to try and use a post install script to update the php.ini file.

btw the package will be a pear zend optimizer package, i am making this as i use the zend optimizer myself and thort building a pear package for installing in gnope would be useful

i have completed the alpha version of the zend optimizer pear package.
at present i have not completed the post install script but will likly have that done by the end of the day.
