Problem whit gtksourceview

Hi, I hope someone here can help me with my problem and I apologize in advance for my english.

So lets get to my problem.

I need a simple editor with sintax highlighting, and then I noticed php-gtk and whitin it gtksourceview, I saw some examples online an tried them, they work but only when they load a file, if I start typing it works too, until I type ' or ", then it stop highlighting what I type. It doesnt mather if I specify that what I type its php, c, c++ or anything else, whatever the language is, it stops highlighting the once I type ' or ", and stays that way until I run again the script. So hping you understand my problem, gtksourceview stops highlighting the code once I type a string,

I hope someone knows how to solve this, Im runing it on windows xp.

If I could explain myself let me know cause cause english its not my language.

Believe you have setup php-gtk2 using gnope installer. Think it's the problem with the sourceview2.dll that comes with the installer. (If you have a linux version of php-gtk2, you will know that the sourceview widget and the example code works fine.)

They haven't posted any gnope installer updates for quite some time already.

If you really need sourceview running properly, and you are adventurous enough, you could refer to Elizabeth Smith's website that gives you details how to compile your own php-gtk2 on windows.

Thanks for your reply, I tryed on linux and you are right, it doesnt have the problem, but Im afraid that I needed the editor in a short time, so I decided to do it in c, since the editor its really simple and I didnt saw a reply. I apreciate your help and the link, once I have some free time I'll give it a try because I'm really interested in php-gtk.
