I just found out the roadsend php compiler went open source. I have had great luck with it for gtk1 applications but was frustrated with there support and slow release time. I think this can become a great project, they currently have plans for gtk2 and you can grab a copy free now so check it out.

I have searching for php to exe compilers, but the question is... someone will continue this project for windows? because for linux has released the 2.9 but for windows nothing... other thing that I have found that need to consider is, can compile the php into a file that cant be read in a text pad, such the php encripter, because If you dont want to distribute the source files of your app need a way to encript o compile this in other extension, right?

just have a look at handbook : http://www.php-gtk.eu/handbooks

there is some problems on my script example on this site. You need to manage watch ID when file or socket terminate with Gtk::input_remove($id);
